Switching from another app?

Bring your whole library with you. Running an import again is safe: nothing gets duplicated.

PocketUpload the pocket.zip you downloaded (or the older ril_export.html). Highlights come along too.
InstapaperSettings → Export → Download .CSV file. Folders and tags come along.
OmnivoreUpload the export zip as is. Articles keep their full text, labels and highlights.
ReaderSettings → Export → Export library (CSV).
Readwise highlightsreadwise.io/export → CSV.

Kindle highlights

Plug your Kindle in with a USB cable, open it like a USB drive, and drop documents/My Clippings.txt here. Upload the whole file every time: only new highlights are added.

Readwise & Reader

Get your access token at readwise.io/access_token. It is only used for this import and never stored. Running the import again is safe: it updates what you already have instead of duplicating it.
